New  Amsterdam plein and pavilion done by UNstudio are located in Battery  Park, Manhantan-New York. Battery Park is managed by TheBattery  organization, an urban park on an area of ten hectares in New York  harbor area. In park that as part of a long history of New York was  established pavilion that built to facilitate the activities around the  garden area. As an information center, visitor center, community  building and market and certain events place.
Pavilion  area of approximately 465 m² is also TheBattery cooperation with the  park and transport departments. Adopting the sculpture style to form  four wings. When viewed from above looks like four-legged star with the  shell building and coalesce to form wall and roof corrugated in white  color.
The ideal site for a permanent commemoration of 400 years of dutch history in new york because it is steeped in a sense of a shared past and looks directly toward the harbor where henry hudson sailed. it is also focused on the future by virtue of its role as a modern transportation hub within the constantly changing scene of lower manhattan. this is a site where history meets the future.
